Inter Region Round Robin – 17/18 April 2021

Willetton, on behalf of Southern Region, hosted the Inter Region Round Robin on 17/18 April 2021. All went very smoothly and I thank all those from Willetton who pitched in to make the weekend a very successful one. There are so many people to thank, from the Kitchen girls, Bar, Greens, general volunteers, umpires, raffle sellers, runners, a mighty effort by all, so thank you.

A special thank you to Mandy Heiner, Ricki Phillips, Celia Wyatt, Kay Collins, Deb McGrade and Jill Tapper who represented Willetton for Southern Region over the weekend, you all did us proud.

The overall winners of the weekend were South Coastal who also won the “All Stars” game so congratulations to all of South Coastal. Southern Region came in third place over the weekend, we gave South Coastal a run for their money on Sunday morning as they won all 6 rinks on Saturday playing against Eastern Region but only won 2 rinks plus a draw from us on Sunday. The final scores for the Regions were South Coastal 34, Northern 30, Southern (us) 27 and Eastern 13.
