2023 Brookton Challenge held on 7 October

Willetton has won the Brookton Challenge for the third year in a row.

A rather warm day saw players from Brookton, Pingelly, Wandering and other local clubs play us with Willetton gaining 220 shots to 183.

Well done to all the players who participated today.

2023 5-a-side Competition Results

Results from 5-a-side Competition held at Willetton Bowling Club on Saturday 12 August:

Round 1 winners were Barney & Debbie Smith, Irene Arndt, Jim Hannafee & Chris Carruthers (Safety Bay)

Round 2 winners a Composite team consisting of Otto Dawson, Paul Daves, Connor Biddle, John Carter & Scott Walker.

Round 3 winners were from Forrestfield – Rhys Tillemans, Rhys Cummins, Mark Vatri, Corey Holland & Brad Wicks

4th overall were from Joondalup – Tom & Josh Vlahos, Wes Neilson, James Groves & Sean Nevien.

3rd overall (club unknown) – Shaan Saunders, Jack East, Marcus Sear, Brad Gillingham & Amanda Masters..

Runners-Up of the day were from Bunbury – Gary Giblet, Rhett Butler, Shane Loftus, Barry Kalowski & Darren Wilkinson.

WINNERS OF THE DAY from Osborne Park – Mark Rollings, and 3 generations of Pasalich family – Mark, Paul, Segan & Andrew Paslich.

World Bowls Pairs

On Friday night, 21 July 2023, Justin Wright from Willetton and Chris Carruthers from Safety Bay Bowlng Club took on Blake Nairn and Sean Mawdsley in the final of the World Pairs PBA tournament at Mandurah Bowling Club and in a close contest came out on top. First Prize is a trip to England to play at Potters Resort in January!  Congratulations to both players and also a great effort by Glenn Sewell and Gavin Dodge from Willetton in making it to the quarter finals.
