2023 Season Opening Day – 10 September

The weather was perfect for a great afternoon of bowls after our Patron, Dr Jags, delivered the first bowl of the season. A spider followed with a fantastic prize of $50 for closest bowl to the critter which was donated by Glenn Sewell (Cookie) and won by John Bailey, the club also put down 5 $2 coins for whoever came closest to the coin, congratulations to all winners.

After bowls we enjoyed a great dinner of roast chicken with all the trimmings followed by Anja’s famous ice-cream slice. George Sheardown’s name was drawn for “Chase the Ace” but unfortunately no luck tonight. The Cole family definitely had the most tickets in the draw but even with 22 tickets lady luck wasn’t with them!!
